Laurel Police investigating suspicious activity at gas stations

LAUREL, Del. – Laurel Police have received multiple reports of suspicious activity at Laurel gas stations and convenience stores over the past week.

Police say an investigation into these complaints appeared to have one common denominator, that a female of Indian or Asian decent was reportedly approaching victims and offering to sell jewelry or other items. The suspect also allegedly sometimes mentions needing money for gas or offering to trade for jewelry being worn by the victims. When denied, multiple victims reported that the woman became increasingly insistent and sometimes confrontational.

The woman is suspected to be using a black SUV or white Mercedes passenger car.
