3:20 p.m. UPDATE: Officials say the Laurel 4th of July parade is a go.

LAUREL, Del. – Officials in Laurel say without more entries for their 4th of July parade, they will have to cancel. The theme of this year’s parade is “Party Like It’s 1776.” The parade is planned to start at 7PM, with line-up beginning at the entrance of Oak Lane and Evergreen Drive.

Last year the parade was cancelled due to lack of applicants, and on social media officials say they don’t want to see it happen again this year. They say they need 15-20 more applications in by Friday June 16.
