Good Morning Delmarva Discusses Teen Driving Fatalities

47ABC – The summer season means an increase in travel for most and it’s important to be cautious and alert.

Delaware has one of the highest percentages of teen driver fatalities in the U.S. especially during the summer months. Between the month of June and September 47.5% of fatalities occur. In Maryland 38.3% of fatalities occur according to the National Highways Traffic Safety Administration. June being the most perilous month.

Kerry Sherin explained on Good Morning Delmarva why there’s been an increase in young driver accidents over the past few years and how the community can raise awareness.
