UPDATE: Fatal crash involving dirt bike under investigation

CAMDEN, Del. – Police are investigating a fatal dirt bike crash in the Camden area.

Just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, police say a white 2022 Husqvarna FC 250 dirt bike was traveling northbound on Honeysuckle Road, north of Willow Tree Circle. For unknown reasons, the driver reportedly lost control of the dirt bike, left the roadway, and hit a ditch.

The driver, a 32-year-old Dover man, was thrown a short distance from the bike and was critically injured. He was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment, where he died the following day. His name is being withheld pending notification of family members.

There were no other vehicles involved, and no passengers on the bike.
