Delaware man charged with numerous drug charges

SEAFORD, De. -Delaware State Police have arrested and charged 62-year-old James May of Seaford, Delaware, on numerous drug charges following a narcotics investigation that began in February.

Detectives from the Sussex County Governor’s Task Force say they found large bags buried in the woods after a hunter reported the location On February 13, containing a couple pounds of cocaine and more than an ounce of heroin.

Police say they found approximately 743.49 grams (over 1.6 pounds) of cocaine, approximately 6,540 baggies containing approximately 45.78 grams (over 1.6 ounces) of suspected heroin.

Task Force began an investigation and discovered that the drugs found off Asbury Road belonged to May after seizure of his white Cadillac Eldorado, which contained several grams of cocaine and crack cocaine.

May was charged with several possession with intent to distribute charges and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $119,000 secured bond.
