Crash involving ambulance sends teen to the hospital

LEWES, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a crash that sent a teenager to the hospital Monday afternoon.

Police say the crash took place at around 1 p.m. in the area of Route 9, just west of Route 1, near Evette Lane in Lewes.

Details of the crash remain limited, but police say a Toyota Camry and a Lewes ambulance collided, seriously injuring a 17-year-old male.
