Boomerang Community Outreach celebrates 3-year anniversary

SEAFORD, Del. – Boomerang Community Outreach Inc. celebrated their 3-year anniversary with a Founder’s Day event Saturday afternoon.

The day included free food, several local vendors to shop with, and speakers. We’re told the event was a way to give back to the community.

Boomerang Community Outreach Inc. provides a variety of outreach services to youth ages 5-17 through a focus on strengthening social and behavioral skills, personal development, and promoting positive mental health.

Founder Danecia Page says highlights from the year include connecting with more school districts and increasing their funding thanks to community donations.

Moving forward, Page says they need more volunteers to help carry out their mission. “I know sometimes we’re not paid for the things that we do, but when you put your heart into it and find youth to invest in its much more rewarding,” said Page.

“Our group is growing and I’m just one person so the more the merrier. Come on help us, we would really appreciate it.”

Page also tells 47 ABC they’re looking for interns and hope to connect with local businesses to expose youth to career opportunities.
