SALISBURY, Md. – Tyaskin Beach is currently under an advisory due to elevated bacteria levels.

Children, the elderly, pregnant women, and those with weakened immune systems are most likely to get sick from swimming in contaminated water. They are also most likely to get seriously ill from exposure to waterborne illnesses.

The Wicomico County Health Department says the results from Thursday’s retest should be available on Friday. The public will be informed when levels are back to normal.
