Wico. Sheriff’s Office assists DSP with homicide investigation
SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies recently assisted Delaware State Police in a homicide investigation that happened in Delaware.
As a result of DSP’s investigation, on April 21st, a search and seizure warrant was authorized and executed on a residence in the 30000 block of Johnson Road. The suspect in the homicide, Jhalir Henry, was located inside the residence and taken into custody on a Delaware arrest warrant for murder. Henry was released to the Wicomico County Detention Center pending extradition to Delaware.
Henry was charged in the homicide death of 18-year-old Corey Mumford.
A search of the residence led to the recovery of a privately made AR-style Rifle, chambered in 7.62 x 39 mm, that was determined to belong to Tyaire Bright. He was arrested and charged with multiple firearm offenses. He was released the following Monday on an unsecured bond.
