Vehicle damaged by gunfire in Dover, police investigating

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating after a vehicle was damaged by gunfire Thursday evening.

Shortly before 9 p.m., officers reportedly heard gunshots in the area of New Burton Road and Waples Avenue. Contact was made with the victim, a 38-year-old Hartly man, who reported that his vehicle was hit by gunfire and damaged while he was driving.

No suspect description is available at this time.
