Upper Ferry reopens

SALISBURY, Md. – County Executive Julie Giordano announced that the Upper Ferry reopened Monday morning.

We’re told there are a few parts that are still not available, so there are two operators on the ferry until they arrive. The ferry may have to be closed for a day at that time so installation can be completed.

The Upper Ferry closed in May 2022 due to a mechanical failure.

“It has been a long time coming and we know that this day has been anticipated for several months,” says Giordano.
