Trial date scheduled in Gavin Knupp case

WORCESTER CO., Md. – A trial date has been set in the case of 14-year-old Gavin Knupp’s death.

22-year-old Tyler Mailloux is charged in the hit-and-run crash that took the teen’s life last July. Mailloux was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing Wednesday morning, however, that hearing was canceled after a defense attorney’s appearance was filed.

The trial is now scheduled to start on September 11th.

Mailloux was charged earlier this month in the case.
