Three charged in Salisbury drug operation
SALISBURY, Md. – Three people have been arrested following a long-term drug investigation.
Police identified a suspect as 44-year-old Jason Suha, and further investigation led police to identify additional subjects as 37-year-old Elizabeth Whaley and 21-year-old Kolyn Layton. Throughout the investigation, police seized a total of seven parcels containing controlled dangerous substances that were ultimately intended for Suha. The parcels contained methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and other THC products.
As a result of the investigation, 12 search and seizure warrants were served, including four residences. Suha’s primary residence in the 200 block of Potomac Avenue is where the majority of the contraband was located.
Investigators seized the following as a result of the investigation and search warrants:
- Approximately 467 grams of cocaine
- Approximately 317 grams of methamphetamine
- Approximately 19,184 grams of marijuana (roughly 42 pounds)
- Approximately 765 grams of THC wax
- Over $224,000 in cash
- 3 seized vehicles
Suha was arrested on March 29th and held without bond on numerous drug charges.
An application for charges for Whaley and Layton on May 4th, and warrants were obtained. On May 5th, the warrants were served on both suspects. Whaley was released on her own recognizance and Layton was held without bond.
Police say this is an active investigation, and additional subjects could be charged. Subjects that are charged will likely face additional charges.
