Seaford man arrested in connection with illegal lottery operation
SEAFORD, Del. – The Delaware Department of Safety and Homeland Security Division of Gaming Enforcement and the Seaford Police Department have made an arrest in connection with illegal lottery operations.
We’re told an ongoing investigation by Delaware State Police detectives assigned to the Division of Gaming Enforcement determined that a residence on Woolford Street in Seaford was operating a lottery numbers game within the home. Officers responded to the home, where they located cash and gambling equipment.
As a result of the investigation, 58-year-old Ramon Diaz-Lopez was arrested and charged with possessing a gambling device, advanced gambling, keep any gambling device for any game of chance, and providing premises for gambling. He was later released on his own recognizance.
