Paving project to begin on Sharptown Road next week

WICOMICO CO., Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration will begin a paving project in Wicomico County next week.

The project is slated to begin on Monday, May 22nd, along Route 313 (Sharptown Road) between Route 50 and Cooper Mill Road. Work will be conducted from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, with single-lane closures and a flagging operation in place. Drivers are urged to remain alert and look for reduced speed limits as well as driving pattern changes.

The project is expected to be complete by the end of June, weather permitting.
