One dead in Bridgeville homicide, investigation underway

BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – Police are investigating a homicide in the Bridgeville area that happened Sunday evening.

At around 7 p.m., troopers responded to the 21000 block of Mill Park Drive for a reported shooting. When they arrived at the scene, they found 23-year-old Orbby Holder, lying in the front yard of a residence, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Holder was taken to an area hospital for emergency treatment but was later pronounced dead.

Further investigation revealed that Holder had been at a party on Mill Park Drive when he was confronted by an unknown man. The confrontation reportedly escalated, leading to the suspect shooting Holder with a handgun. The suspect then fled the scene.
