New portrait honors life of Cpl. Glenn Hilliard

SALISBURY, Md. – The Hilliard family was presented with a portrait Monday afternoon in honor of the late Cpl. Glenn Hilliard who was shot and killed in the line of duty last year.

The event was held at The Deli at Pecan Square. We’re told the restaurant was a big help to the family and all law enforcement during that tragedy.

Once presented with the portrait, Tashica Hilliard actually dedicated it to the restaurant as a thank you.

She tells us that was a way to show she’s truly touched by the community support that’s never wavered. “I am taking steps to continue to move forward with my children and my family. The community support is still there to help me into the next portion,” Hilliard said.

“And it hasn’t stopped. The support really hasn’t stopped. I won’t be able to keep going like I’m going if it hadn’t been for the community support.”

Steve Agha owner of Deli at Pecan Square was also honored Monday for his efforts in supporting the Hilliard family.
