Meeting planned to take comments on EV sales mandate in Delaware

Comments

DELAWARE – Senate and House Republicans want to hear from residents on DNREC’s EV sales mandate. They are hosting a meeting on Monday May 22 where residents will be able to write comments on the mandate. Those comments will be delivered to DNREC before the public comment period ends on May 26.

The mandate is a part of the States efforts to increase electric vehicle availability and purchases. Beginning in 2035, no new gas or diesel-powered vehicles weighing 14,000 pounds or less could be sold within the State.

Monday’s meeting will be held at Sussex Central High School in Georgetown at 6:30PM. Officials say if you are unable to attend, there are other ways to submit your comments.
