Laurel Police investigating hit-and-run

LAUREL, Del. – Laurel Police are asking for the public’s help in a hit and run investigation.

The incident took place shortly before 9 p.m. Thursday, in the area of West Street and W. 10th Street. Preliminary investigation indicated that a tractor-trailer or trucker and trailer hit an electrical police, causing significant damage to the pole. The vehicle reportedly left its right mirror at the scene and was last seen traveling northbound on West Street.

If you see a truck and trailer missing this piece of equipment, you are asked to call Sussex County Non-Emergency Police at 302-855-2980. Anyone with information on the incident or knowing the whereabouts of the suspect vehicle is asked to contact Laurel Police at 302-875-2244.
