Laurel man arrested on felony drug charges

LAUREL, Del. – A Laurel man is behind bars on felony drug charges following an investigation that began Sunday night.

Shortly after 9 p.m., troopers responded to the Oasis Travel Plaza after receiving a report of a man and woman having sex inside a parked Chevrolet Malibu. Troopers arrived at the scene and found the vehicle, at which time the driver, identified as 66-year-old Wayne Majors, got out and threw several items underneath the car.

Troopers searched the surrounding area and found five baggies of suspected heroin and approximately 15.32 grams of packaged cocaine.

Majors was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity. He was held at SCI on a $6,200 secured bond.
