Investigation underway following house fire in Ellendale

ELLENDALE, Del. – An investigation is underway following a major house fire Monday evening in Ellendale.

At around 5:30 p.m., fire crews responded to the 13000 block of Hunters Cove Road for a reported house fire with explosion and injuries. Crews were able to control the blaze, and crews from Ellendale, Georgetown, Greenwood, Bridgeville, and Farmington remained at the scene for several hours.

The fire is under investigation by Delaware State Police and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office.
