Indian River takes down Sussex Central for the Henlopen Championship

GEORGETOWN, Del- Indian River beats Sussex Central 5-2 to capture the Henlopen Conference Championship. Neither team made any scoring plays until the top of the seventh.
Indian River struck first, Lily Hoban ran home after a bunt to give IR a 1-0 lead. Then later in the inning, Sophia Scurci blasted a grand slam off of Madge Layfield to cap off a five-run seventh inning for IR.
