47ABC – Every 3rd Friday of the Month, the Delaware Department of Justice helps vulnerable areas in need of resources and May 19th the DOJ is hosting a community pop-up.
Corie Priest, Community Engagement Program Administrator for the DOJ tells us, the community pop-ups began as an outreach effort for the homeless population. It has now morphed into providing resources to communities in need.
they will be giving out diapers, clothing items, dog food, household items, covid and flu vaccinations, food and more!
Priest says he hopes one day they can expand outside of Wilmington as it’s a great way to create connections between law enforcement and the community.
