FELTON, Del. – Felton Police arrested a man on drug and other charges following a traffic stop Saturday morning.

At around 7:30 a.m., an officer on patrol stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of East Main Street in Felton for a registration violation. The investigation revealed that the vehicle did not have insurance, and an inventory inspection was conducted before the vehicle was towed from the scene, at which time the officer found a bag in the back seat with a digital scale, 31 grams of MDMA ecstasy tablets (40 pills), and approximately 129.2 grams of marijuana individually wrapped in five separate bags.

The driver, identified as 45-year-old Elgin Carrington, was taken into custody and charged with multiple drug offenses, in addition to failure to have required insurance and expired tags. He was later released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
