Drug investigation leads to arrest of Kent Co. man

CHESWOLD, Del. – A Kent County man is behind bars following a three-months-long drug investigation.

At around 8:15 p.m. Monday, members of the Kent County Governor’s Task Force executed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Blanton Drive in Cheswold. Troopers made contact with 39-year-old Jesse Hart inside the home and took him into custody.

A search of the residence led to the recovery of approximately 2,392 wax paper baggies of suspected heroin and over $850 in suspected drug money.

Hart was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 3 quantity and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was held at SCI on a $35,000 cash bond.
