Delmar man sentenced for possession, distribution of child pornography
SALISBURY, Md. – A Delmar man has been sentenced after being convicted on child pornography charges.
On December 7, 2022, Maryland State Police began investigating after receiving a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that 25 videos depicting child pornography had been distributed to another user on the internet through the use of the KiK messenger application. Law enforcement was able to track use of the KiK messenger account through its IP address to 35-year-old Brandon Ehrisman’s residence. A search and seizure warrant was obtained and executed to obtain the contents of the KiK account, determining that the account belonged to Ehrisman due to the fact that, in addition to the videos of child pornography, Ehrisman had uploaded pictures of his face and genitalia using the application.
Ehrisman pleaded guilty last week to distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography and was subsequently sentenced to 10 years incarceration with five years suspended. He will be placed on five years of supervised probation on release with a specialized sex offender supervision. He will have to register as a Tier II sex offender, which is a 25 year term of registration.
At the time of the incident, Ehrisman was on supervised probation in Worcester County for a conviction of sexual solicitation of a minor. This conviction served to violation his probation in the Worcester County case.
