Children and Mental Health Awareness event in Downtown Salisbury

SALISBURY, Md. – May 5th marks the start of the Children and Mental Health Awareness event in Downtown Salisbury.

The event aims to help provide families with over 70 vendors to help promote safe and healthy environments for families in Wicomico County. The event takes place Friday and will run from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m.

There will be live music and entertainers. The vendors will be there to provide resources to address mental health and substance use. There will also be a ton of community activities for both children and adults. Event organizers tell us this event is about promoting family wellbeing.

Director of Wicomico Partnership for Families and Children, Jaime Riley, is in charge of the event in Downtown that should have up to a few hundred people in attendance.

“I am really excited for the activities that are going to be down there so that kids and families can see the things that they can get involved in that will improve their overall well-being,” Riley said.
