17-year-old injured in overnight shooting

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting that injured a teen early Tuesday morning.

Just after 2:30 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of Spruance Road for a reported shooting. When they arrived at the scene, they located a 17-year-old male who had been shot in the upper body. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Further investigation revealed that a vehicle was also damaged by gunfire in this incident. No other injuries were reported.
