16th Annual Salisbury Kidney Walk Returns Sunday May 21st

SALISBURY, Md – For the first time since 2019 the annual Salisbury kidney walk is back in-person!

The event is all in an effort to raise awareness of kidney disease and the importance of early screening and organ donation.
Kidney disease is the 10th leading cause of death in the US and affects nearly 10 thousand Marylanders.
47abc News spoke with Nicole Scharf, the National Kidney Foundation’s executive director for the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

She says she is so excited to have the event back in-person this year and it’s all for a great cause.

In addition to the walk, there will be giveaways and goodies for participants. Plus refreshments will be provided.

The Event begins at 9 am at Winterplace Park at 6737 Blue Ribbon Rd. The walk will start at 10 and is a 2-mile course.
