Wor-Wic opens new Technology Center
SALISBURY, Md. – Wor-Wic Community College opened its new state-of-the-art Technology Center Thursday afternoon.
The 50,000 square foot building is full of industry-specific equipment and technologies to prepare students for the workforce. With 90% of Wor-Wic students staying and working in the area, the new building will fill high-tech learning requirements for local students.
“By participating in Programs that are available in our new building on campus students have the opportunity to change their lives. you can pick a career in just one field or in many fields and get the training you need quickly, sometimes in as short as 6 weeks, in other times it might take a couple years, but either way, you will develop the skills and the technology to last a lifetime,” said Kristen Mallory, VP of Academic Affairs at Wor-Wic.
The building has been in the works since 2018.
