Talbot Co. man arrested for possession of child pornography

TILGHMAN, Md. – A Talbot County man has been arrested following an investigation into the distribution and possession of child pornography.

In March 2023, the Talbot County Sheriff’s Office received a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children cyber tip involving 21-year-old Parker Matta. With assistance from the Howard County Police Department, it was learned that Matta sent an image containing child pornography to another subject via social media in December of 2022.

Detectives subsequently obtained a search warrant for Matta’s residence and executed the warrant on March 31st. Additional evidence was recovered from Matta’s electronic devices, and he was subsequently arrested at the scene.

Matta was charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and two counts of possession of child pornography. He was held without bond.
