Snow Hill walks it off against St. Michael’s in dramatic fashion

SNOW HILL, Md.– Snow Hill defeated St. Michael’s in walk-off fashion in a final score of 8-7 on Wednesday afternoon.

Snow Hill would put 2 runs on the board in the bottom of the first to take an early 2-0 lead on the Saints. St. Michael’s brought 1 run to the plate in the top of the 2nd to make it a 2-1 game. Anthony Hulslander would make an impressive double play at first to get the Eagles out of a jam and keep his team out in front.

Both teams continued to trade blows as there would be a lead change in every inning but the bottom of the 6th and the top of the 7th. The first two batters for the Eagles would get out pretty quick in the bottom of the 7th. Cole Swift would get on first with a 2 out single up the middle setting up the winning run. Kolton Zender stood in the box and knocked it deep into left center-field to bring Swift all the way home from first.

Cole Swift went 4-5 at the plate and scored the winning run.
