Salisbury Scrap Metal employee, customer charged following theft investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – Two men are being charged following a theft investigation.

The investigation began in late October, when Salisbury Scrap Metal reported to the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office that there had been a theft by one of their employees during the month of October. Through investigation, the employee was identified as Michael Fisher, who was allegedly falsifying customer’s weights and types of metals being dropped off, as well as customer information. The total loss was determined to be $8,457. The customer was identified as Lenord Pompilus, who reportedly coordinated with other individuals to steal from Salisbury Scrap.

A detective applied for charges for both Pompilus and Fisher, and a criminal summons was issued on April 11th for theft scheme and conspiracy to commit theft scheme. Pompilus was served with the criminal summons the following day, however, Fisher has not yet been served.
