‘No donation is too small:’ Local nonprofit collecting supplies for tornado victims
BRIDGEVILLE, Del. – One Bridgeville nonprofit now with boots on the ground helping families impacted by the tornado that tore through Sussex County Saturday.
Cornerstone Community Center is collecting donations for those impacted. Those supplies include clothing, food, hygiene products, toiletries and more.
We spoke with Executive Director Latoya Harris who says the community has rallied together in a big way in the days following the tragedy.
She tells us this was their way of helping out. “Even with just a couple of dollars that can buy toothpaste. Any donation really can make a difference in someone’s situation,” Harris said.
“As they start to rebuild and get their lives back together, we want to make sure that we can be of assistance to them. No donation is too small.”
Mail in and drop off donations are being accepted. That address is 100 Market St.
The non-profit has also started up a CashApp ($CommunityMatters1) account for monetary donations.
