MSP searching for Salisbury man wanted on attempted murder charges
SALISBURY, Md. – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a man wanted for attempted murder in Salisbury.
The incident took place at around 6 p.m. on April 16th, when troopers responded to the 500 block of Swan Road for a reported shooting. Preliminary investigation revealed that Timothy Whaley Jr. was a passenger of a black Volkswagen and approached a residence on Swan Road before firing at a woman who was standing in the front yard of the home. The suspects then fled the scene in the vehicle.
No injuries were reported.
The driver of the Volkswagen, 48-year-old Crystal Hutt, was arrested on April 17th. She was charged with attempted first degree murder, attempted second degree murder, first and second degree assault, and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony/crime of violence. She was later released after posting $25,000 bail.
Whaley is wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous. Police say he is 6 feet tall and weighs about 190 pounds, and is known to frequent the areas of Keene Avenue and Jersey Road.
