Crews battle weekend house fire in Rehoboth Beach

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – An investigation is underway following a house fire in Rehoboth Beach early Saturday morning.

At around 1:20 a.m., firefighters responded to a residence in the Kinsale Glen subdivision off of Country Club Drive. Firefighters battled the well-involved house fire with exposure issues to neighboring homes and were able to extinguish the bulk of the fire within 20 minutes. All occupants were able to safely escape, but a cat perished in the fire.

The Delaware State Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
