Crews battle house fire in downtown Rehoboth Beach
REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – An investigation is underway following a house fire in downtown Rehoboth Beach Tuesday evening.
Shortly after 6 p.m., firefighters responded to 43 Sussex Street to find smoke and flames coming from the crawl space of the home, as well as heavy smoke throughout the interior. The fire was quickly extinguished. Officials say there was minor extension inside the house, which was extinguished and ventilated.
The house was under renovation at the time, and nobody was inside. There were no injuries.
The fire remains under investigation.
