Community feedback wanted for survey on future programs at Delmarva Discovery Museum

POCOMOKE CITY, Md.- The Delmarva Discovery Museum wants to hear from the community.  They recent released a survey to get feedback on future programming.

Museum personnel say the goal is to bring new, fresh events to the area.

We’re told foot traffic took quite a dip during the pandemic but now visitors are slowly making their way back in.

The museum currently provides several interactive and educational programs which include field trips.

With the survey, they hope to give the community something they won’t be able to find elsewhere. “There’s children who haven’t been able to get to the beach even though we live right here. We can offer that little chunk of the beach right here in the museum. There’s the touch pool, we have sharks, and we have animals that they could go out and see in the wild and it’s in a safe environment for them to explore,” Tia Astarb said.

“We want to do more things that bring in the community. We want to know what they want to see, so why not ask them and have them give us what we can do.”

The museum is always open to new volunteers if you’re looking for more ways to get involved.
