Casey Cares Foundation on Good Morning Delmarva
47ABC – The Casey Cares Foundation helps children who are critically ill and this month they are providing their annual Casey Cares Biggest Pj Party.
Erin Ritter, the deputy associate Director, shared more on Good Morning Delmarva about the non-profit and how the PJ Party helps children in the Delmarva area.
The organization helps children struggling with cancer, leukemia, brain tumors, transplants, cystic fibrosis, and more by providing them with positive family time like tickets to fun activities such as Disney on ice and the circus.
The PJ Party was inspired by a Casey Cares child that battled leukemia and felt special when she wore a new fresh pair of pjs instead of a hospital gown.
The organization gave over 22 thousand pajamas to hospitals and community centers last year alone.
Each year — you can support a child by donating a set in Virgina, Maryland, or Delaware.
Casey Cares has worked with John Hopkins, University of Maryland, Children’s National Medical Center, Nemours Children Hospital in Delaware, Children’s hospital of the king’s daughter, and multiple others on Delmarva.
