Call center to open Sunday following storm devastation in Delaware, one fatality confirmed
DELAWARE –
The Delaware Department of Health and Social Service is activating a call center for those affected by Saturday’s severe weather. According to the Sussex County Emergency Operations Center, the call center will be open from 9:30AM to 5PM on Sunday April 2nd. Residents in need of shelter, food, medical or other assistance can call 1-866-843-7212.
Sussex County EOC officials are expected to meet Sunday morning to coordinate operations and begin deploying assessment crews in the Bridgeville-Greenwood areas.
Sussex County Emergency Management confirms there was at least one fatality Saturday evening at a collapsed structure along Tuckers Road, southeast of Greenwood.
