14-year-old found safe in Georgetown following Amber Alert
GEORGETOWN, Del. – A 14-year-old was found safe following the issuance of an Amber Alert in Delaware.
Just before 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Georgetown Police responded to a report of a missing juvenile at the Sandhill Fields Complex. Witnesses told police that the juvenile, identified as 14-year-old Jennifer Sandoval, was last seen leaving the complex as a passenger in a white truck. Through further investigation, officers learned from additional witnesses that a young man was seen escorting Sandoval to the truck. Given the circumstances, an Amber Alert was issued for Sandoval.
Shortly after the Amber Alert was issued, Georgetown detectives received information that Sandoval was in the Georgetown area in the company of two men. All three were located and contacted on North Railroad Avenue, and Sandoval was returned to her parents unharmed.
