Traffic stop leads to 4th DUI charge for Milford man

SEAFORD, Del. – An early morning traffic stop led to felony DUI charges for a Milford man.

Shortly before 1 a.m., troopers stopped a vehicle in the area of Sussex Highway and Concord Road for an expired registration plate. After making contact with the driver and sole occupant, 40-year-old Michael Moyer, troopers discovered that Moyer was wanted and took him into custody. A search of Moyer and his vehicle led to the recovery of approximately .33 grams of methamphetamine, approximately .19 grams of crack cocaine, a concealed shotgun, and ammunition. He was also determined to be driving under the influence.

Moyer was arrested on numerous charges, including 4th offense DUI, possession of a firearm while under the influence, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, and several traffic offenses. He was held at SCI $8,005 secured bond.
