TidalHealth expands mobile health services to vulnerable communities in Sussex County

SEAFORD, Del. – TidalHealth Nanticoke is taking their services on the road to Sussex County with the expansion of their mobile clinic operations.

It’s a partnership between the health care system and Seaford Community of Hope.

Seaford Community of Hope provides outreach services to vulnerable communities in Seaford.

We’re told a community needs health assessment identified several gaps in access to care countywide.

The mobile clinic will offer a variety of screenings, conduct risk assessments for illness like diabetes, and more.

TidalHealth tells us it was important to get out into the community and meet people where they are. “Now to just be able to get out there and see the community and work with our partners who have other resources that they’re providing, it’s come full circle,” Director of Community Health Initiative’s Kat Rodgers said.

“We have such a focus on improving the health of the communities we serve and that means keeping people out of the hospital and helping people to prevent them from getting sick.”

The mobile clinic will service low-income families living in both the Meadowbridge and Chandler Heights communities.

We’re told dates for the next outreach events will come soon.
