Talbot Co. man arrested for sexually abusing minors

TILGHMAN, Md. – A Maryland man has been charged in connection with a child sex abuse investigation.

Detectives began the investigation in February, learning that the suspect, Eric Werner, sexually assaulted a juvenile on two occasions at a residence in Tilghman. An arrest warrant was obtained for Werner, who was taken into custody without incident.

As the investigation continued, another juvenile victim was identified in March. The new information revealed that Werner sexually assaulted the juvenile at a residence in Tilghman.

Werner has been charged with second degree child abuse, second degree assault, third and fourth degree sex offense, and sexual abuse of a minor. He is being held without bond at the Talbot County Detention Center.
