Salisbury man convicted on numerous counts of rape, sex abuse of a minor

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been convicted of sexually abusing and raping a minor.

Last week, 57-year-old Prentice Harris was convicted of sex abuse of a minor, three counts of first degree rape, four counts of second degree rape, and related offenses.

The charges stem from an investigation that revealed that from January 2019 through December 2021, Harris sexually abused a minor under the age of 15.

Sentencing was deferred pending a mandatory pre-sentence investigation. Harris will remain in custody pending sentencing.
