Police investigating armed robbery of Willards convenience store
WILLARDS, Md. – Maryland State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect wanted in connection to an armed robbery in Wicomico County.
Shortly before 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, police say the suspect went into a convenience store on Main Street in Willards. He allegedly approached the cashier and brandished a handgun while demanding cash. The suspect then obtained an unknown amount of cash and fled the scene in a small silver passenger car, believed to be a Hyundai Accent. Investigators say the passenger side mirror is covered in tape and it is believed the vehicle has a separation between the front bumper and the passenger side front fender.
