Hurlock woman arrested in connection to shooting that injured one
HURLOCK, Md. – A Hurlock woman has been arrested in connection to a shooting that injured one last week.
On Thursday, deputies with the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to 4719 Petersburg Road for a reported shooting. On arrival, they found a female suffering from gunshot wounds to both legs. The victim was taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional for treatment.
Police say the victim was able to identify the suspect as 23-year-old Jamaya Conaway. The incident was reportedly over money.
An arrest warrant was obtained for Conaway, who was taken into custody on Monday. She was charged with armed robbery, robbery, reckless endangerment, assault, and several firearm related charges. She is currently being held without bond.
