UPDATE: Fatal vehicle fire under investigation in Ocean City

OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ocean City Police are continuing to investigate a fatal vehicle fire.

Just before midnight, Ocean City Police and Fire Departments responded to 200 125th Street, locating a vehicle on fire in the east parking lot. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire, and emergency personnel located a deceased victim inside the vehicle.

The victim has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy and identification.

This is an active joint investigation between the Ocean City Police Department and the Ocean City Fire Marshal’s Office.
