Fatal crash involving tractor trailer under investigation in Berlin

BERLIN, Md. – Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened Saturday afternoon in Worcester County.

Shortly after 3:30 p.m., troopers responded to Route 113 northbound at Georgetown Road for a reported crash. Preliminary investigation and witness accounts indicate that the driver of a 2009 Toyota Tacoma failed to stop at a stop sign, driving west on Georgetown Road, attempting to cross the northbound lanes of Route 113. A tractor trailer was traveling northbound on Route 113 when the crash happened.

The driver of the Tacoma has been identified as 69-year-old Linda Brown. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the tractor trailer has been identified as 72-year-old Marius Bouw of Arapahoe, North Carolina.
