DEVELOPING: Officials investigating suspicious person at Dover AFB

DOVER, Del. – The Dover Air Force Base Elementary and Middle Schools and Youth Center were placed on lockdown Thursday afternoon.

We’re told Delaware State Police were alerted of a suspicious person on the housing side of the Dover Air Force Base, however, a credible threat has not been found at this time. The 436th Security Forces Squadron is investigating the situation to the fullest extent.

As of 5:10 p.m., the lockdown had been terminated, and all students and staff have been accounted for. Students are being released.

The incident remains under investigation.
